Chatgpt this. Chatgpt that.

I see memes, message screenshots, panic posts about the AI "Apocalypse" daily. People everywhere seem to be giving up all personal power to the algorithm & the 'code'. But is the ruckus & fear-mongering necessary?

The reason most AI feels so robotic? Maybe has more to do with humans than it has to do with the black box of DNN.

Okay so hear me out.

✅The collective blind spot is that we taught it emotion only through what people could label out loud.

Imagine the description — “You said I’m angry.” “You used the word happy.” “This emoji looks sad.”

Cool. But... where's the rest of it? What about the 2-second silence before you reply? The deep sigh? The awkward laugh after someone says something offensive? The side-eye your friend gives you under the table when someone’s lying?

We’ve trained models on data & syntax — not subtext. For Example:

Take

How?

Because he performs emotion through scene, sound, timing, movement.

Why aren’t we training AI on that? Or memes? Literal chaos images + text + vibes. We’re in a world where a string of emojis like 🫣💅💀✨says more than a sentence. I send you a meme = I’ve said 10 things without saying a word.

✅ The emotional layer isn’t messy.

It’s dimensional. It’s structured, just not in Excel cells. It’s measurable, just not always with numbers. But there’s no lack of taggable emotional data (taggable right now in this very moment).

Don’t believe me? I have receipts:
